I'm really glad you decided to fix it. I can live with the occasional mistake but when they jump out at me I fix them.

Oh, you have made such a wonderful job of the alteration. I do feel it was worth the effort you must have gone through. The quilt is so gorgeous and worth putting it right. Well done to you.

I am glad that you fixed it! GREAT job! I am sure it will be appreciated by the vetern that gets it. Don't you feel better that you corrected your mistake. It must have bother you if you posted it on the board. There is a big difference between points and seams that are not perfectly matched and blocks put in upside down or in wrong order. Again GREAT job on the quilt!!!!!

I don't know if this is true or not, but I have been told the Amish always put something wrong in a quilt because only God is perfect. I have done something like this before (only noticing it after I bound it.) I just laughed and repeated "only God is perfect."

No, the Amish do not put something wrong in a quilt so it won't be perfect. That would be the sin of arrogance to think that you had to make a mistake intentionally or it would be perfect.

No two things in nature are the same, people, leaves, flowers, snowflakes, etc., etc. Which one is the perfect one?

Your finished quilt is absolutely gorgeous. I agree that in this case especially there is a need to give your very best.
